Millions of people receive assistance from health and human services programs, and the professionals who work in these programs, every day. But these professionals encounter challenges and roadblocks that make it difficult to do their jobs. They are confronted by massive amounts of paperwork, complicated processes and procedures, siloed information systems, and an inability to communicate with colleagues in other programs and systems. We needed to find a way to authentically connect with social workers and hear their voice.

Have professionals express their challenges in their own words.

We utilized international connections within the non-profit and social networks to connect with individuals in various countries to share their pain points and to voice out suggested solutions that can help them better serve the community. The challenge was to create a wide-reaching video with a small budget. In this video, health and social program professionals and clients express in their own words the challenges they face, the changes they'd like to see, and the impact they have on the people they serve.

This video was used throughout IBM Watson Healths workshops, trade shows and meeting to help their clients understand the pain points of social workers and how IBM would be able to assist in alleviating these challenges. The video helped increase early adoption of Watson in healthcare and increased the awareness of artificial intelligence solutions.
